I received a text message this morning from yao quan, og 6's ogl. So, i'm in og 6 !! Apparently, most of us are separated but og 5's like saturated with people i know! As if everyone else is in og 5... But one thing to note, i feel that the people in og 6 are a bunch of fun-loving peeps.. will see for myself tmr! (:

It's my third day taking the pills and overall i'm still feeling alright. Obviously, it takes time for the medicine to work too. It ain't no magical pill.

It was really sunny when i made my way down to town area to get some stuffs. Initially when i got the pills, i texted Jacqueline to ask her some stuff. One of her replies included: "You'll run away from the sun."

How true. Although I have yet to try what's going to happen to me (probably the skin gets red and irritated..) I didn't want to try to know it. I really ran away from the sun, by taking bigger and faster steps. haha!

After getting the stuffs, I met the ntss peeps for dinner at Tiong. We have a new addition to the ntss dinner kakis; Edmund. The dinner's as usual - amusing and laden with loads of laughter..

I cannot wait for night cycling tomorrow night! I will remember to take extra care because I never know when i will have decreased night vision. lol.

The post i posted yesterday made it sound alittle as if I contracted some kind of disease or cancer and is undergoing treatment, according to annabel.

It is another one of these days that I stayed home. I realised that after yesterday's class, I won't be having anymore classes till 15th Sept.. Does that mean 2 weeks of holidays? POA lecture is going to resume only on the 14th of Oct!

The timetable kinda made me wonder why is this so. So weird.. Anyway I cannot wait for Friday's night cycling to come. :)

Tuesday

I went to bed at almost 5am this morning, got up at about 10.30 and had cereal for breakfast. Since when does Michelle start having breakfast, you ask.

I have to eat something so that i can start on my medication. It's the first time I'm swallowing that pill. Anyway, the doctor did ask me if I am planning on any pregnancy because if I am, I cannot take the medicine cos it causes the baby to be deformed. Seemed quite serious to me.. there's even a slip of paper that the doctor gave me yesterday. I saw the side that warns females against pregancy while on that course of medication..

Headed to Popular when i reached school to get my calculator. Finally i brought a non-scientific calculator to class, but I don't really like it! I prefer the calculator the guy sitting beside me was using..

Class was okay, but was feeling a little sleepy at times. I think it could be because i slept late last night. Met up with friend after class and had a late lunch at Megabites. Stayed in school to study. Yes yes you didn't read wrongly. I was in the library studying okay! Doing some reading from the textbook that i borrowed from the library.

Felt very sleepy halfway through because i couldn't highlight the book and i can do nothing except to read and its causing me to fall asleep! So i decided to read the slip of paper that the doctor gave me yesterday and i was taken aback.

Just reading the side effects alone is enough to wake me up, it is rather half entertaining yet at the same time, scary! The highlighted parts are where i put it in bold. Of course i didnt type everything out!

Here's some of it..

Side Effects:

Some of the most common side effects are:
Special Precautions to take: Special Symptoms you should tell your doctor about:

So that's what little scary yet interesting information that helped bring some entertainment to us while studying.. Oh and i have to add, I will have breakouts during the first few weeks of my treatment.. :(

HAPPY 20TH TIANXI !! (this may be a lil late. haha!)

Anyways, made a trip down to Doctor Steven Ang's clinic today. With regards to my skin condition and after seeing real life examples of how their skin got so well, I have to give it a try. Moreover, it isn't that expensive as compared to the other dermatologist I went to in the past.

The doctor put me on a course of medication and gave me a cleansing gel and a cream to apply. and the sad thing is, while i'm on that medication I am to stay away from the sun! SO HOW AM I GOING FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVTITIES !!? I have to eat the medicine for about 4-6 months, depending on the skin condition..

The doctor's pretty funny too. I asked him a question.. and this is his reply..

Me: Doctor, what if i have to go on a trekking trip and i'm still on medication?
Doctor: If you really have to go, it's best that you wear long sleeve to cover up.
Me: -rolls eyes- oh okay...

Who wears long sleeve and goes on a trekking trip? Isn't he amusing. Haha!

and then..

Me: doctor, is there anything that i have to avoid while on medication? (Wanted to know if i can still take alcohol)
Doctor: mm alcohol .. ?
Me: -wah really ah?- But what if i still take them ?
Doctor: How much do you drink?
Me: Okay la not alot ..
Doctor: If you drink abit still okay, but not abit everyday..
Me: So, means still can drink and won't have any side effects or anything?
Doctor: .. but its best not to drink as alcohol will toxify your liver..

he didn't answer my question.. !!

Headed out to Bugis after that as Annabel wanted to get pouches. I was in a total state of un-glamness. We saw Edmund there too.. so coincidental right..

Sunday

I went to bed at 6am early this morning as i was typing that really long post. Took almost 2-3 hours and i'm not yet done with it. It became a little too personal as i typed so i think i won't be posting it for the public eye. I would probably do something else i guess, so just wait! haha!

I am quite happy in a way now actually, because I have actually came to terms with myself and some of the issues that i used to struggle with. A lot of changes took place over the past few months. It's good and bad in a way. I made alot of new friends over the past few months!

I do have to admit, there's once when I really felt like a fish out of water when I was out with some friends. I just feel very out of place. The relationships are so very complex so i shall not try to explain it here.

I think i found the answers to what i have been searching for all these while, for all the worries that have been bugging me way back..

To my dear friends (you know who you are):

thank you for staying by my side even though the past few months i have been acting quite cranky. I may have flared up easily during those times, but you still stood by me. Sometimes you'll ask me to cool down and not get upset, and tried to explain things to me patiently.

When I am feeling unhappy with the things around me, you asked me not to give up and close myself up even though you feel the same way i do. Thank you for that encouragement..

And thank you also for the occasional reminders, although I didn't really take it in well initially but when I reflect back, I am so ever thankful for them. I know you mean well.

I really miss you people..

This isn't supposed to be an emo entry, but a happy one!

23rd August.
Saturday

I woke up at around 1pm in the afternoon. Had cereal with milk. (Yes i know that it's more of a breakfast food.) Caught the episode of the tv drama i missed last night on the repeat channel of scv, and my BOOKS from arrived finally.! They were airflown okay, all the way from UK.

I was so excited.. Like a primary one kid who gingerly cut the top of the plastic package which revealed a water/tearproof kind of envelope which contains my study guide. I tore the openings of it and, there it is! Haha.

I flipped through the study guide and read abit, before its time for me to get ready to head out to Tianxi's place for his birthday celebration. I'm kinda eager to receive my study guides because i always hear my friends from other universities like Deakin, ACCA, SMU saying that they have readings to read, while I thought to myself, I dont seem to have anything to read. (reminder to self: I'm only doing one module now! the rest of the modules have yet to start !! )

Ah anyways, i'm quite puzzled cos they only sent me two study guides out of the four modules i'm taking this year. So what happens to the remaining two ?? Karen says she also received two modules.

Anyway, the whole day its either pouring or drizzling. Made Singapore felt like she turned on the air con for the entire nation. Met bel at Tiong bahru and headed to TX's place in a cab. Yummy food next. Told ya, I'm such a glutton man.. After eating, he opened the mj table and his place turned into a mini gambling den, but without money involved that is.

Mj, dai dee, chinese and english chess, tv, internet, PS3 ... haha, Obviously, i'm with the MJ! James and Malcolm came along at almost 10 cos of late bookout. We (James, Malcolm, Annabel and I) left his place at about 1135 and headed to Chomp chomp.

So coincidentally, Kelvin's meeting ed and the rest at chompchomp for supper too.. So the united met the united(s). haha! After our desserts, we went home. I dropped Malcolm and myself home with James' car as he slept.

Halfway through our desserts just now at chomp chomp, a sudden wave of emotions ran through me. I miss those days when we would hang out freely as and when we wanted.

It could really be the simplest things we do like sitting at the void deck drinking iced Lemon Tea from the market at Bukit Merah View, renting DVDs and going to someone's place to watch, watching football matches together, having the favourite Yong Tau foo supper, cooking pasta at 1am in the morning ..

Initially I wasn't really into soccer, but James is a Man U fan and when there's a man u match, he'll come over to my place with Annabel to watch it during last season's BPL. I remember once last year, you all came over for a match but i'm in my room studying for a major exam. Ha! I know I used to "hide" in the room doing my things while you all are watching the match and probably Annabel just come along to watch until one day, he said that he's always watching alone even though he's here. - sorry about that! - So from then on, i started to sit outside to watch the match together with them. To a point that i somehow became a united "fan"..

With that, I got to know that my dad and maid is a man u fan. yes, the maid. Once, they came over to watch a man u match and all present in the hall who are united fans (James, my dad, me, maid, annabel - who supports man u when they are not playing against arsenal right ?! CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG! HAHAHA!) were like 'screaming' during the match.. Interesting scene to behold huh? Somehow i always remember this.

It's with you guys that doing crazy things seem normal at that point of time. Who would travel all the way from the west to the east just to chill out of Terminal 3's coffee club in the wee hours (at least after 12 am cos of parking fees!) when there's the 24/7 coffee club in town? Or some other chill-out places that are opened till late. Mind you, we have people staying in the west, central and south.. and for a short period of time, that was our fav hangout until prawning took over.

The first time we prawned, we felt so elated when we felt the first bite.. It became a weekly routine for about a month plus, until I went on a holiday trip with my family to Taiwan the week before James' enlistment and he had to report to camp the very next day i touched down in Singapore.

There's just so much that i wanted to say to you guys that i actually typed a post specially for it.
Some of what i wanted to say is actually posted here.
Read it later ok? I have yet to decide if i wanna post it here or somewhere else but I promise, it's going to be very long. lol.

and, ANNABEL LIM JIN XIA if you read this, FASTER GO AND COME BACK FROM CHINA OKAY! ( okay, okay, i know you haven't even leave for china. lol. )

@ 2:00 AM

22nd August.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQ!
The friday night was great.

The drinks, the company and all. They got the drinks at cold storage first. Heineken and abor mist. Drank at the poolside, chatting and stuff and was introduced to the group BnB. (Blackie and Bana). Those who i met that day who also met Tim will know what i'm saying.

Abor mist was nice. It tasted like Ribena or something. heh. Zong Ming came after that, and we headed out to west coast for some Nasi Lemak.. hehe. Funny memories of how some drunks stole their friend's egg. (that's another story altogether) haha! Ate and after that, went down to Zouk.

Time check: 12.30 when we left West Coast.

Cannot remember the time we got there but Phuture's full already. So only entrance to Zouk. Trance music. Oh and i must say i met so many people. I met Denny who later on told me that Ashley, king and gang's inside too! Saw them inside Zouk.

While just waiting around, saw Caleb, who's celebrating his birthday in advance. Pamela's with him too..

So we had some drinks and stuff, headed to the dance floor but really did some stupid and funny actions which just made me laugh.

Went with them to the smoking area and the high and drunk Tim who's so very friendly when he's in that state, went to strike a conversation with a gay. Interesting. We just stood there and listened and laughed along. haha.

Went back to Zouk and stood by some empty spot and saw two girls kissing. Nothing peculiar in a club i suppose.

Hung around abit and went out later, where i saw mun kiat who told me that he's here with jac and the rest, cos its her birthday. But they're inside phuture so i cannot go in and say hi...

Hopped over to the prata place opp zouk after that .. as we cannot settle on a place to go for the supper fix, and headed home thereafter, With ZM being the safe driver, we all feel safe..

I wonder if it's my stomach capacity grew or, I'm just being greedy man.

LOL. Just take a brief look at what i had for my "dinner" on wednesday. I had my usual dinner followed by cornflakes. I poured it out onto a paper plate and i had two plates of it (without the milk). After that i opened a packet of potato chips, and had a prune after that. All these within 2.5 hours.

I actually craved for tom yum soup at 12plus am! And the next best option was the
tom yum seafood flavoured instant noodles. Thankfully, i managed to stop myself from even boiling the water. haha. I settled for the less filling option - milk.

omg omg omg!!

Imagine with me. I think i definitely grew sideways!

Will post the pics i took at Shokudo another day. Celebrated Daisy's 21st. Though a pretty short one. hee hee.

Tuesday, August 19
@ 6:37 PM

I made an effort to wake up earlier at about 9am this morning, so that i can go downstairs and get myself my breakfast. My fav breakfast food has got to be fried bee hoon with either egg or fish cake. I thought that all fried bee hoon would taste about the same, and the diff would be whether its oily or dry.

The stall that i always buy from already sold all their stuff and has closed for the day when i got to the coffeeshop. So i walked to the other coffeeshop and decided to try this new stall. (also cos since they are the only one i know that sells FBH.)

Not only its expensive, $2.20 for bee hoon and egg (!!), it tasted super weird so much so that halfway through i cannot bring myself to eat another mouth cos .. its so peppery, oily and... just weird. I think i would puke if i still carry on eating it. :(

Had POA lecture in the afternoon. i think i'm one of the few who still doesn't own a simple calculator despite it being the third lecture. We can't use our scientific calculator. The lecturer seems to be quite ignorant of the fact that in Singapore, all secondary school students needs a scientific calculator. That explains why almost all of us brought a scientific calculator to class the first lesson. He asked why of us brought a scientific calculator.

No one told us that we cannot use a scientific calculator. Cambridge allowed us. Okay sadly, UOL doesn't permit. Ah anyways, i opened my inbox earlier today and saw an email notifying me that my parcel had been sent out and my books should reach me within 2-5 days. haha i'm waiting excitedly for it. lol.

Sunday, August 17
@ 6:33 PM

Saturday, 16th Aug

noon was spent at home slacking till about 7. Headed out to Parkway for dinner, to celebrate Suvenna's 21st. I arrived pretty late because i was waiting for my dad to come home so that i can bring the car out. Had steamboat, and halfway through my dad called and asked if i wanted to get a phone. Actually i'm pretty contented with my two current phones, but he said that he had a $100 voucher and it expires on Sunday. I reckoned that Sunday we would not be free to go to the telco shop to get any phones so i settled for SE G900. I wanted Diamond/Omnia at first but heard bad reviews about them.

After the dinner, headed over to Joy's, did the celebratory stuff and talked a little before we left her place. I went over to kelvin's. That's where my down luck started pouring in. I met him and Cheryl at the mrt station and drove over to the car park which was just behind. He got out of the car to answer a phone call and didn't shut the door tight. The two of us subsequently got out and i tried to lock the door with the remote control but it didn't work. So i just locked it manually. I told my dad about it when icalled him and asked if he got the phone. He said the alarm will go off when i unlock the door later but i told him it won't. Actually it did ring when i locked and unlocked for the first time but the second time, it didn't. So i assumed everything would be fine. He told me to come back earlier whatever it is so that he got time to settle things before he start work if there's any problem.

When i went back to retrieve the car at like 5plus in the morning the alarm went off! man. I switched off the engine and turned it on again and it's fine. So i drove off. I just got out of the car park and the alarm went off again. I called my dad and got a scolding for not going home earlier.. cos he's going to start at 7.30 and its already 5plus.

But after awhile i realised it's the door's fault. So i called him to say it's alright already and i went home..

Sunday 17th Aug
woke up at almost 1pm. Already in a not-so-good mood cos i was in a mad rush, i realised there's something wrong with the phone because the longer i charged my phone, the battery life span got shorter. What absurdity! To top it off, my dad told me i got a summon of $50 last night. I didn't knew about the existence of that summon all along! sighs.

Rushed out and went for service. After service, headed to Westmall to change my phone.

Man Utd vs Newcastle at 11pm and it's a draw. 1-1. After the game, had green tea with a friend and we went to see the sad state of a car. The damage was caused by a person in a state of drunkardness. Disclaimer: It's not done by me.

Friday, August 15
@ 6:30 PM

I was so certain i almost broke into tears earlier this morning when i realised that there are things that i've missed out studying for.

I reached school and went to look for Karen and her bro. Got my morning breakfast of Siew Mai and a pau. Went back to the table and saw what Karen wrote and, Shit! How come some of her notes are different from what i learnt.

Only then i realised, i missed out on one graph. Even though i wrote it down as part of the tips already. I must be so blind.. I never felt so paranoid before.. ha. Because of that bad experience that i went through on Wednesday, it's left a very bad impression already. AH.

But it turned out that the paper's pretty alright. Manfred is so much nicer compared to Bernard. Whatever he gave as tips, really came out. :)

I know, Manfred's spoiling us actually. That's called spoon feeding right .. ? Shall worry about UOL exams another time! Now i'm just going to relax first, and i have a long wishlist of things to do.

1) Swimming
2) Buffet at Himawari
3) Visit the dim sum eatery at Geylang someday
4) Wala's
5) Utilise the free red/white wine voucher at Amici.
6) hopefully, get a suntan

.

.

.

.

and the list goes on ....

Was talking to my friend. Cos he likes to call my SIM friends "Simply Friends." Thus, i tried to correct him and told him that its S-I-M not Simply..

Friend: So, what does SIM stands for?
Me: SIM, S-I-M la! Singapore Insititute of Management
Friend: No lor. Wrong. change the m to something else.
Me: Change to what?
Friend: Mj.

Thus, he now calls it singapore institute of mahjong. Thanks eh?

Because, alot of students from SIM plays mahjong! lol. Ranges from the beginners to the pro and to the very pro. The mj craze started since odac foc, and extends all the way to some of the dragonboaters. Actually, anybody, everybody.... hahaha.

Tuesday, August 12
@ 9:50 PM

im having a paper tomorrow. spent the entire day in school studying.

i dont know if i can say that i was productive. because at the end of the day, it feels like i'm still so unsure of whatever i have studied for. or is this the so called cold feet that i'm having before the exams tmr?

i need to pass this. yes, all i need is 34 marks.

im so tired. the double espresso coffee is taking its effect on me. im kept awake while the brain is pretty much drained. So what am i supposed to do ? I cannot sleep yet i cannot take it if i were to do anymore maths question! Sighs.

anyway, i have already signed myself up for the night cycling. heh!

Wednesday, August 6
@ 11:32 PM

First thing first:

Sunday: Was at Punggol Marina Country Club. My first time trying out Wakeboarding. It was fun just that i think i need to train more on my arm strength first because after awhile, i dont have much energy to pull the stunt and it ended up slipping of my hands. Pics will have to wait till cheeyoung's friend send it to him! yay..

Tuesday: My first official lesson as an undergrad with University of London. haha. was POA. But then imagine sitting through a 3 hour lecture with only one person talking non-stop. i nearly fell asleep.

Plus, it's all introductory stuff and i've came across such stuff in my poly days. oh wells. anyhow, studied in school after that before heading down to changing apetites with the rest of the OG peeps. ah, it wasn't really studying to me lah.. but nevermind about that.

Had dinner. It seemed to be more like an OG 2 outing with the seniors.. without the OGLs. heh. Headed over to Esplanade's roof top terrace after that to chill awhile before going home. Was tired out at the end of the day...

Wednesday: Went back to school to study. Actually im kinda growing to love SIM's library. I finally see a library that's more like a library. The one in Ngee Ann isn't very conducive for studying even though its a library eh ? and, now i'm feeling ever so studious that .. i like the thought of being an undergrad mugging all day. Haha, talk to me after a month or two to see if i have the same sentiments.

Headed to class at Management House after that and boy, the jam was horrible.. Something funny happened in class. The two people sitting beside me are quite funny. There's this girl who asked me to sit back at the same place tmr so that she can "know us" or sth. i can't really recall what she said. But funny thing is that according to Nixi, she feels that the girl's like ordering us to sit back at the same spot at our next lesson. heh.

im so excited !

Im going to wakeboard for the first time tomorrow at Punggol !
