off to kukup in a few hours time!

It's 3.05am now and ive got to be at woodlands at 9am tomorrow. (:

WOW.

Well, it was a really last minute decision to go. Didn't want to go initially cos i've alot of other concerns in my mind; but at 10pm i decided i want to go. Until i get over the reservations i have; I know I won't be able to enjoy in peace. Since i've made the decision and there's definitely no way i can turn back, I hope things will turn out all fine.

Luckily, my friend still has leftover ringgit; so i changed with him else at this hour i wouldn't know which money changer i can go to.

Afterall, i'm leaving on 31st and coming back on 1st Jan. lol.

I'm getting kinda excited over it. Listed on the first day's itinerary was :

1) Sing k, MJ ..
2) SEAFOOD Lunch
3) SEAFOOD BBQ BUFFET dinner.

on the second day there's a kelong tour; can visit mangrove swamp. haha.

lalala. plus, can fish at the kelong (?) I hope it will be fun. But the highlight should be the fireworks at night. Can set your own fireworks. Something new i suppose. Till then, when i'm back.

It all sound so relaxing. I wish it is how i picture it to be. I think i really need a short break to get away from the city. Not to mention, when i'm back i gotta mug really hard. Exams start 7th May 2009.

Here's to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Goodbye 2008, hello 2009.

(I remember clearly saying hello to 2008 early this year. Mr Time can you please slow down? )

OH GREAT.

Those decisions were made by me and I should not regret it. I'll try.

absolutely lack of updates!!

First of all, I visited Jurong Point a couple of weeks back and the new extension was ready and opened for business. My first impression of it was.. " Wow". Lotsa new shops around like The Face Shop, Skinfood, Chapt 2 etc etc; so is the crowd. I went there on a friday night. You can imagine the crowd? There's also fairprice xtra which is 24hours! Great for night owls like me. There's also Ji De Chi dessert shop!

Great.

Supper cum Supermarket cart race

Last Sunday, I went for supper with some of the odacians at Geylang - Dim Sum. A total of 13 pax ordered $150 worth of food. That day, I ran out of my contact lens solution and I thought that Fairprice Xtra would carry the solutions so i made my way there with some of those staying in the West at 2am in the morning after dim sum. But no, they don't sell it but a bunch of monkeys (us) were having much fun in the supermarket. Refer to pictures of Facebook. I'm so lazy. (haha!) On the way back to the car (we parked at the empty space opp JP), we saw a couple making out in the car. hurhur!

Christmas

Well, this year has gotta be one of the quieter years around. On the 22nd had an early xmas dinner with the girls at Ichiban Boshi. The sashimi there's like superbly yummylicious. On the eve itself, I had steamboat at James' with Sharon and TX. We headed down to Town because there's nothing to do while TX went to attend mass. It was awfully crowded and thankfully, i made a left turn at the junction and parked the vehicle at the open spaced car park opposite wheelock because orchard road is jam packed to the max.

Tried to escape the snow spraying crowd so we stayed at the side. I recalled that last year we were saying that we wanted to have fun by wearing rain coats and start spraying the snow spray. Afterall, we're protected in a way by the rain coat. But of course, it didn't come true. I saw someone holding an umbrella walking the crowd. That's amusing.

After that, headed back home for some mj. It ended around 7plus am.

On Xmas itself, i met the odacians at Marina Square for dinner at Waraku de Pasta and movie - Bedtime story. My stomach has been acting weirdly since morning so my appetite wasn't entirely great. The movie was funny, and the entire theatre was packed that first row seats were even occupied !

I'm tired and exhausted. It's been awhile since i feel this way. It's been awhile since I wake up early in the morning; despite sleeping at unearthly hours.

Saturday and Sunday was Extreme Challenge. I'm the game master so I literally sat there waiting for teams to arrive. Thank God for the psp i managed to borrow at the eleventh hour. Absolutely glad, because it accompanied me for two whole days!

Today was stationed at Queenstown; Vertical Marathon. Teams came early in the morning and after that no one came. I played my PSP while the two others were watching HK drama on my ipod. I took a short nap cos i was sleepy, plus the wind was blowing and it's drizzling. Imagine the nice weather but i'm sitting on a bench outside. :(

I fell asleep; heard someone called my name. I turned and stared at the person. I couldn't recognise him at all. I tried hard to recall who he is. Until he said. "Eddie la."

It was Eddie. I didn't know he shifted there ! hahah. Okay, this is a very very random post! haha.

STANDARD CHARTERED HALF MARATHON.

Yesterday, I took part in the 21km race category. Actually halfway the run I felt pretty disappointed and demoralised cos I cannot run as before but really glad that I managed to crawl myself back to the ending point without giving up.

I nearly died on my way running and so so so so much wanted to give up before the 8km mark because of blisters and not enough stamina to carry on. I developed like four blisters on my toes and was so painful that I went to the medic for plasters. I even had a gauze placed under the ball of my right foot to cushion it cos there's one blister there.

Really thankful because, when i was at the medic Karen was there waiting for me. Usually I won't drink too much fluids when running but this time round i was so thirsty that almost every water point after the 8km mark, i had to take a drink. That of course gave me a little stitches. I couldn't catch up with Karen so I let her go ahead first, dont wanna pull her back too.

By the 13 km mark, i couldn't take it so i started walking already. Was like walking and running but i walked more - all the way to the finishing point. I also took drinks at each stop and the banana since im not running much anymore.

I think i didn't do proper warm up and warm down cos the joints on my right leg hurts like hell when i try to walk after the whole run. I can only stand on my left leg.

I've done it last year too and managed to achieve a timing of 2hours 58 minutes; I did it this year too with a timing of 3hour 18min (that's the time shown on the clock when i arrived at the finishing point) but the only difference is that i didn't train for it this year.

Its about 20 minutes difference when i didn't stop running last year compared to me walking this year. Two possibilities; I read the clock wrongly or I must have been a snail last year. ha!

Headed down to expo after showering. After service while waiting for the rest of the guys I took a walk at the John little sale. Nothing much except for some good buys at the bedlinen section. Had dinner at katong - nasi lemak. The chicken wing is fantastic. Yums. Btw, that was my meal of the entire day.

Slacked around for awhile till about 11 plus and went over to TX's for MJ. Ended around 6plus in the morning, came home and slept.

I THOUGHT MY LEGS COULDN'T MOVE ANYMORE. They felt so heavy that when i wanted to turn around on the bed, it wouldn't budge ! Took me so much effort just to move it a little. Now, i can only walk super slowly. My right ankle hurts very badly.

=(

Next year, i make sure i will put in more effort to train if i'm going to run again.

Just a small rant, if you don't mind me. (:

You denied everything that you said to me the other day. You said that you dont recall saying it; those were said in a drunken stupor. Oh yes. Who knows if you're lying; or not. But whatever it is. I couldn't care less anymore.

Woke up for school at 1.50pm today, macroeconomics lesson. There's an upcoming macro test next week; CF assignment 2 weeks later.. anyway i think i must study my POA more. I've kinda forgotten so much about it. study study study;

today's so weird. I made a damn big detour just to get to Clementi.
From school > town > holland > clementi.

Nice huh? No, i do not enjoy wasting money on bus fares like that; not when i do not have the concession pass. That is something i could/would have done in the past when I had concession! All wells.

oh, it doesnt help that hotmail's down on me. :( I can't check my mails.

i think probably from today onwards i might try to get a little more sleep, on weekdays to start with. Got this article off Cozycot.

**********

As much as many of us are claiming that our busy lives aren't allowing us to get that adequate amount of sleep that we need-not getting enough sleep can result in some undesirable consequences in the long run.

1) Deterioration in Memory

Research has shown that sleep plays a key role in preserving memory. Not getting enough sleep affects the brain’s ability to recall certain things especially if they are recently learned.

2) Gaining Weight

Research has suggested that inadequate sleep decreases the level of Leptin, a hormone that suppresses hunger. You may find yourself eating more to satisfy your hunger during the day and gaining weight overtime.

3) Increased Risk of Disease

Your risk of getting diseases like breast cancer and heart attack could be increase. This is due to the fact that a deprivation of sleep causes estrogen and cortisol levels to rise- which increases your risk of contracting these diseases.

The amount of sleep needed may differ for every individual; however experts say that most people need between seven to nine hours of sleep.
