Due to H1N1, the FOC's being postponed till further notice. That being said, I find myself with lots of free time. There's good and bad towards the postponing of the camp. Oh wells.

So today Sheila, Samuel and Nelson came over to my place for some MJ. It's been a looong time since I've played it. We played till about 6plus and they left while I went to prepare myself to meet the girls at Vivo.

Dinner was at Sushi Tei.

The Golden Roll is oh-so-yummylicious. :D

Pauljean suggested going over to One o15 to chill. We settled at this place called Nebula and we chose to sit in the open space overlooking the dock where all the yachts are. Nice view.

Most of us had Mocktails while Elena ordered a cocktail. I was supposed to let my liver rest ya? haha!

There was a bunch of caucasians two tables away from us and I think the guy is drunk and he talks quite loudly. A group of chinese came later and sat at the table in between us. I dont know how but the two groups bonded quite well. Or rather, the caucasians were the ones talking most of the time, but they could sing rather well.

That provided free entertainment for us.

The toilet was ultra cool. Pardon me if I sounded like some mountain tortise.

the mirror area where there are neccessities like cotton wool, buds, deodorant and Gatsby.

The sofa area

The lockers

The girls. Like finally all of us can meet. It's been long. (:

26th June, Friday

So, the friday arrived.

I made my way down to Zouk and met up with the rest; and we had some uninvited company. That's another story altogether.

There was some kind of fashion show going on. Met yu perng outside cos he was working at the fashion show.
They moved over from Phuture to Zouk at about 10plus and that's when the "free-flow" started.

Martell, Chivas, Redbull, Green Tea and Coke.

Absolut Mandarin! one of the ingredient in the making of Bombshell. (:

Someone stacked the glasses but we were told to unstack them by the waitress.

Our group's strength was about 12 or 14.
Initially we all thought 3 bottles were alot but end up they came in small sized bottles and all was gone in 2 hours ! The table was clear by the time I got back after disappearing to i-dont-know-where.

It was almost a smurfs gathering, other than the smurfs I went with, I saw Jasmine + gang outside queuing up to get in. One interesting thing to note was, I was with Peixuan; Teckwei and Timothy at the dancefloor when Peixuan saw Elton. I couldn't recognise him but PX kept pulling him to take picture but he refused. I thought he was PX's friend so i just helped her pull him for a photo. It was until the next day that I realised it was Elton. =X

We met Jerold as well.

I told you, almost half my batch of smurf were there! Overall, it was a fun night. Music's much better with Andrew Chow. It was another DJ spinning last friday when we were there.

27th June

Redbull proved itself really effective when I could not sleep until almost 8am in the morning despite feeling tired. My mind was especially alert. =X

I woke up at about 10plus 11 and headed down to Vivocity and met Peixuan and Annabel. We had high tea at Central, by then it was almost 3pm. Breakfast, lunch and tea rolled into one.
After that we took a walk around Tangs and in less than an hour, I created quite a bad damage to my pockets.

I went home after that and got the soap for the Dry-run.
Drove the car out and went over to Wheelock. Had dinner at Shimbashi Soba. My first time dining there but I wasn't exactly hungry after the late lunch, but the soba was good. Popped by Marina Barrage, my second time there and today the breeze was much stronger and the place was very cooling. :D

What was supposed to be a spin led us to Rocher Beancurd for desserts, and I'm back home at almost 3am.

28th June

I woke up at 830am and prepared myself for a day out at Dairy Farm. ODAC's FOC dry-run.

I reached school at 10am and walked round and round before Shu Hong told me how to get to the basement. =P

It was interesting as we then had our brunch that Sheila and JG got for us at the carpark. So it's called the Carpark Dining. We headed over to Dairy Farm in Sheila's car, Junren's lorry and Boon's van.

We started our activities and then had a short trek up the hill in two batches. It was a little challenging at the initial part and I always feel that i might slip and fall at certain points cos I can't get a firm grip on the ground. It's fun anyhow. :D

Some of us went back to the MOE Adventure camp and returned the logistics and we climbed over the gates to enter the place again for washing up cos the guy locked us out! =X
We went over to SP when the rest came back from the trek for washing up followed by dinner before going back to Dairy Farm for the night walk. I alighted at Clementi to pick my car before joining them at Bukit Batok for dinner. We had a feast and the food's really nice.

It was then that the Night walk was postponed and then the entire group of us went over to Mt Faber Safra for bowling but not everyone bowled. I picked up some tips from Ian as well. :D

This time round we only played one game and then we headed over to Ah Chews for desserts! We made it just in time before they closed and the Mango Sago with Pomelo is yummylicious. Home sweet home-d at about 1am after dropping Wanshan. I am totally exhausted from running around since two days back, and am very sunburnt.

My crave for sashimi was satisfied today at Ichiban Boshi!

I realised I lost all my bangkok pictures cos I didnt back up when I went to exchange it. There's no time for me at all to do anything. I rushed from Jurong East and back home, and then to Parkway Parade at Marine Parade and then back home, have dinner and then rushed down to Zouk. All these within 4 hours.

Oh wells. But thankfully I wasn't really the main photographer so my camera only has some very random shots. =X

On Monday I could finally slack at home abit, have been soo busy running here and there over the last week. My initial idea was to go down to IMM's Daiso to pick up some cotton puffs when Santono asked me on Msn if i wanna go out.

So JG, Pearl, Santono and myself met up at Vivo for dinner - location was chosen as that cos i wanted to go Daiso! haha. We had dinner at Carl's Junior and then Wanting joined us halfway through. Headed over to Bakerzin and had their New York Cheesecake. I bought the whole cake back home! :D

We joined the rest later at Mount Faber safra for some bowling and I could finally use my ball! We hopped over to Spize later on for supper and I reached home at about 3.

The next day was another meeting day. Meeting was supposed to be at 1130am and I woke up at 1130. Nice, and when I reached school, lotsa people were late as well! hahaha. So we set down to do our planning stuffs and left school at about 7pm.

Some of us had dinner at Tiong Bahru Market and some at the Bak Kut Teh. Those two places - so familiar yet so strange. =X
Surprisingly my father ended work at about 8plus 9 and was in the vicinity so he picked me up and I drove the car out after that and went over to Mount Faber again. This time we had more people bowling and it's fun but my skills are getting lousier and lousier.
=(

Opel and Mazda left while the rest of us headed over for Yong Tau Foo. The standard of the food has dropped and it's not as nice as it used to be anymore. Sigh.

Friday

My laptop was causing me much frustrations when the wireless signal keep activating and deactivating that I decided to bring it down to Acer for a checkup. Turns out that it's faulty and I had to bring it over to Harvey Norman at Parkway Parade for a one for one exchange as it's within the 7 day period. :D Minus the travelling part, I'm glad that I did it soon enough. hurhur!

I went back home to put the stuffs down and had a quick dinner before meeting Edmund to cab over to Zouk. It was an impromptu decision to go there. It was pretty empty by the time we reached at about 9pm. I guess a large crowd had hopped over to Butter Factory. If we went there at 9pm last year I dont suppose we will be able to enter Phuture anymore.

We got our chops and went over to the Prata shop just across the street. We saw a girl who wore a blue dress that was very short and it was almost see-through. At least we could see her black underwear. :P

The initial decision was to just use the drinks coupon that came along with the entrance fees and not get additional drinks. The decision was overturned when there's one-for-one till 12 midnight. lol.

Anyhow it got super packed by midnight and I had a hard time going back to the floor after the toilet break. =X
So coincidentally I met my friend whom I've not met for 23453443 years. Okay I was joking. About 4 years or more I suppose. He's the friend of dont know who's friend and the list goes on. So I say the world is damn small.
The place was packed with lots of officers who just finished their ball.

Saturday

Had a short meeting in school before we popped over Dairy Farm for a short recce, and saw the mini trek that we have to trek up so that we can do abseiling down the natural rock wall. It so happened that we saw the instructors there preparing for an abseiling activity for a church camp.

We left shortly after and headed home to shower and change before going town for dinner and movie.

I took the car and the rain got abit heavier when I reached the traffic junction before sunset way, and was intending to turn right. There was a lightning that lit the sky up and the next thing I know, the traffic lights were out of order ! The lights before the lightning were in my favour but when it's my turn to go, there were oncoming traffic but one car stopped. I didn't know whether to move or not and while deciding, one car just zoomed past in front of me!

I just inched my way forward hoping that theres no oncoming cars as one of the car blocked my vision. =X
It's definitely one very shocking experience especially I was driving alone at that time and it's a T-junction somemore.

I managed to reach The Cathay safely without encountering anymore difficulties. The queue for Astons was soooo long so we went over to Cafe Cartel instead for dinner before catching " I love you, Man". The show has got quite a meaningful storyline with funny scenes, so it's not too bad.
:D

Had another day of meeting today again.

We bought brunch for some of the odac-ians and cabbed to school. It was a wise idea to cab to school as we were carrying alot of things and also brought my lappie to school.

The meeting ended at about 7pm and some of us headed to Clementi for dinner first before proceeding to Cine for movie. Ghost of Girlfriends' Past. I've watched it with the smurfs last friday but since the initial movie that we wanted to catch only have the first row seats left, and we found out only when Santono they all reached and told us when we were on the bus.

I haven't really been catching last trains as far as I can recall, more of catching last buses. It became even rarer since two years plus back when I've got my driving licence and when James got his car awhile after.

However last week when we caught Blood after our meeting and today I've been catching the last train although I still can board bus 14. There were more people on the train today. A lady almost couldn't make it just in time when the door was closing in front of her. I was wondering what she would do, since she would have to cab cos she missed the last train but she did something that just shocked alot of us. She used her arm to block the door from closing and tried to push the door open. Ever wonder what would happen if the door just closed with her arm stucked and the train just move on ? Of course, the door open la!

When I changed train at Raffles place, there's this tall guy who was soooooooooo fair/white decked out in skinny jeans and blazer, looked like he had makeup on with his oh-so-red lips and I think he put on female perfume as he sat beside me.

For a moment I thought he was some kind of Vampire. So coincidentally there was this guy sitting opposite us he kept mumbling and I thought he was praying or what. I would surely have freaked out if I caught the movie - Drag me to hell earlier on. LOL !

I got this from the PC show over the weekend.
I was deciding between this and Toshiba's. Although I've heard many comments that Acer is cheap but the inner compartments are bad etc etc.

It's a pity that Martin wasn't around that day when I was down cos he was sick. Else I could have asked him to explain to me since all the different salesperson told me different things for the same model I was asking for.

I'm so in love with the colour of this laptop - it's got a very sleek look.

I'm back from Bangkok !

It was a wonderful 5 day shopping spree, we were all damn focused this time round, compared to the last trip.

I spent almost 700 on shopping, food and transport.
An irony that we had Japanese cuisine for most of our meals instead of local cuisine, but we had the one and only bowl of tomyum soup on the last day. lol.

Pictures will be up when I have the time to upload them. Currently all the laptops at home crashed except for my old trusty laptop that have been with me for the last 5 years and survived the China chill when bel brought it with her last year.

I miss the land of smiles !
I miss the feeling of almost free-spending. (Okay, at least its worth the buy)
I miss the bargaining where you go, "buy more cheaper?" or "wholesale price?"

The best bargain I felt was when we wanted to buy those Heineken, redbull singlets but was quoted about 190 baht. We bargained till about 150 baht but felt it was too expensive so we walked away and the lady shouted, okay 100 baht. We stopped in our tracks, smiled and turned back.
:P

More updates on bangkok soon.

In the meantime, I went to school today for ODAC meeting and for the next few months I am packed to the brim.

This morning I woke up feeling very uncomfortable, something like indigestion and the food's stacked right up to my chest area and I couldn't sleep well at all.

Took two doses of "eno salts" with a 2 hour interval in between.
After I took my first dose, I felt a bit better but after awhile there's this urge to puke but nothing came out.

The porridge from Clementi central wasn't appetizing as well.

In the evening, I decided to visit the doctor's so that I won't jeopardize the bangkok trip. Turns out that I might be suffering from mild stomach flu.
:(

How nice, doctor says I must avoid spicy and oily foods and milk for about one or two days.
Bangkok; Tom Yum Goong ?!!!

PJ just tagged me on FB.
totally a princessy day for her when she celebrated her birthday on 8th May at OneDegreeFifteen.

please ignore me in the picture cos I looked damn fat in there.

I COMPLETED SUNDOWN MARATHON ! (: (: (:
I have many people to thank for, for their encouragements before and during the race and most importantly, God. Through the first 21km I could only focus my mind on Him to bring me through.

Of course, I have people like ah boon to thank as well for accompanying me through the journey. I think I've in a way pulled him down as my stamina was damn bad.

One of the main reasons why I joined Sundown was because I wanted to complete a marathon this year as I "became" an adult. Before the race many have heard me complaining that I've regretted signing up for it etc etc. Some left encouraging comments though.

We truly lived up to ODAC's habit - late.
The race was supposed to start at 12am but we started running at about 12.45am. It was partly due to the bus but that's another story altogether. :P
The first few kms were alright, and I spotted a car key along the way! haha! I told the marshalls but I'm not sure if they did hear me right or do anything about it when I reached the first drink station.

when I was hitting the 5-6th km I had a stomach upset. It came on and off; I almost gave up but decided to just start walking first and see how it goes.

Thankfully it went off like after the 9th or 10th km, and that's where some blisters developed but I've got some blister plasters so yeaps. :)
I started to run again but it was really tiring, its either I couldn't catch my breath or my legs were not listening to me. Before I could hit the 21st km, my toes cramped. After that I started to walk almost all the way.

The journey seemed like the longest journey I've travelled on foot in my entire life at one go. My calf muscles and thighs ached, both threatening to cramp. I figured that I've used up almost a tube of deep heat probably. After the 26km or so my back ached (where the end of the spine is).

Thankfully, LiJing was nice enough to help me massage it when we were at Bedok reservoir with deep heat. I was almost void of energy and all that was in my mind was the ending point and silent prayers.

Usually for standard Chartered races, the metallic sensor strip would be placed at the end point and so when i was approaching the ending point and saw the rest who finished the run, they stretched out their hands for a high five and I ran towards the strip and was so happy that I stopped in my tracks, only to realise that I have yet to reach the ending point. I ran towards it and finally, I completed 42km. :D

It was a blunder made by me, as I didn't see where the clock that indicated the finishing point was.

An illustration by Mr Nathaniel Lee who was constantly reminding me of the blunder I made. The blue, red, blue strips were the metallic sensors on the ground. He wanted to tell whole of ODAC about this blunder but I volunteered to annouce this myself.

I was just too happy afterall. I've achieved my goals as well and indeed the finisher's tee didn't come easy. :D

During the race certain things came to my mind. I know that many things that I have now didn't come easily and I had went through a rough patch before and I shouldn't take things for granted. I admit that I've indeed taken some things for granted.

I need some time to re-adjust back, but I don't think it can be back to where I used to be. I might need to start from scratch again.

@ 1:36 AM

I'm so due for an update!

During the exams little events like the ODAC April babies' celebration at Jr's place, playing with his cute puppy, attending Bobbi Brown workshop and spending $218 (of which $150 is paid for using the voucher) and Huiman's birthday celebration at Chris' lit up my otherwise mundane life.

Okay and so right after the CF paper on 21st May, I met up with some of the ODAC-ians who wanted to catch Angels and Demons. The timing for the show wasn't too right so I left after dinner and they proceeded for their movie. I went home, showered and settled down for awhile before heading to Karen brother's place for mj. (: It's been like almost two months since I last touched the tiles. I've been a good girl and stayed away from them k!

Reached home at about 6plus in the morning and went straight to bed. Totally exhausted for being awake for the last 24 hours. Woke up in the afternoon and slacked abit till night time when James' and the rest came over for another rd of mj. :D Due to unforeseen circumstances, we only played one round and ended the night, but I have yet another session in the aftnn with some of the ODAC-ians. I headed out to Vivo with my parents in the evening and when I reached home, my sister wanted to play with my cousin. I was also keen to play with her Hello Kitty Mj tiles so we went over.

Yes it obviously is another mj craze! Everyone wants to play and so do I. hahahaha.

I had a little training for sundown but that left me with a cramp for like 3 days. That basically mean that I had only 1 pathetic training before going for Sundown Marathon. :P
