Happy 21st Birthday, BEL.
You're an adult now.
May you rule the world,
Find your Raymond Lam soon.

Believe it or not, she used to be my "enemy" in sec 1. (:

So yesterday (11th March) I went for The Body Shop Sale at suntec with elena. I reached suntec alittle after 11.30 and when I went in, I saw a horrendously long queue that snaked around the centre of the exhibition hall. I was wondering what are people queuing for, and it was only after I met Elena and she told me they're queuing up to PAY. Nice.

The crowd was crazy, and I can't squeeze my way in to look at the stuffs because you really have to squeeze your way through. I was standing behind the crowd trying to figure a way to get in when this lady literally used her arms to push me away. I really cannot stand such crowds, and I'm a little afraid.

There were travel sized products going at 5 for $10. I was browsing through the selections when I heard this guy telling the salesgirl that he wanted all flavours in xx amount EACH. (xx amount because I cant remember what. But its definitely ALOT.)

While queuing up to pay, I saw that guy with another lady sitting on the floor in the centre counting their stocks. I wonder if they really need that huge amount of shower gels etc or they're going to sell outside. It's just my own assumptions anyway.

The best part of the whole sale is, I queued up for 2.5 hours just to pay for my purchases. Thus, you can imagine the crowd and the snaking queue. Somehow the goods seemed cheap to alot of customers as I looked around, everyone's shopping bag is very full. As though everything is free. I thought now recession ? hurhur!

I bought a total of $35 worth of goods and we headed to Soup Spoon for our lunch. It was 2.30pm when I left the hall. After lunch we went over to Esplanade Library to study and there was this weird guy who kept staring at us. When I stared back at him, he just walked away and after awhile turned back again. I continued staring at him until he went to hide behind some book shelves and appearing again pretending to read a book. I stared at him again but it doesn't work. After awhile he literally stared at us again and stood there with his hands on his hips, like a statue for quite some time.

We decided to ignore him and continued with our studying. He probably got tired after awhile and disappeared.
